New Site Problems

My site at www.goldmagick.com has been re-done. It is hoped viewers will find it much easier to read and navigate. We have had a problem with the Paypal connection and it is in the process of being fixed. However, if anyone would like to purchase the medallion, please send an email to sara@goldmagick.com. She will keep track of your requests and email you when the Paypal connection is fixed.

Be sure to visit the site's ebook page and see the new additions. I don't offer anything that isn't affordable and who knows, something there just might work for you! They also make great gifts.

I'm sorry for the delay and mixup. Sometimes things go wrong and we can't control the outcome.

If ever we needed help in improving our fortunes, it is now! A talisman as a connection to higher sources could only help. I regret that the site wasn't ready for the holiday gift giving but keep in mind there are birthdays and other special events that giving a medallion would be ideal for.

My newsletter also got put on hold with all the upheaval going on. That will be back on track with a copy going out right at New Year's.

We at Gold Magick wish you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Rich?

Years ago I ran an ad with this headline in the Mensa Journal. Mensa is the High IQ organization for people ranking in the top 2% of the population. The ad went on to explain that I was looking for top level engineering analysts. Many people responded and I interviewed at least ten of them.

What a disappointment! Not one of these people was even marginally adequate for the job. Their employment histories were a series of disasters. The only thing these people had going for them was that they were very smart. But they were failures at almost everything they had tried. Oh yes, they had one other commonality, besides being smart. They had the best excuses for their failures that I had ever heard.

Set me to thinking.....why were these super intelligent people such dismal failures? After talking to a handful of them it became obvious. None of them had the slightest idea how to really work! All of them had breezed through school without effort. They didn't have to study to pass the exams. They didn't have to apply themselves to get good grades or awards. They were so intelligent that they could get by without effort, so they never learned to put their backs into anything. They all seemed to feel that their superior intelligence entitled them to privileged treatment. They expected their effortless success in school to continue in the working world.

That's not how it works. Turns out that superior intelligence may help a person succeed, but it is far less important than these three major factors: the willingness to work and persist, belief in the outcome and the ability to form relationships. If you have these qualities, you will succeed. You don't need to be super smart, just intelligent enough to understand what you need to do.

I've known a lot of people who were very successful who were of average intelligence. These people were willing to put in years and years to build an enterprise. They were also able to establish relationships with significant and important people who helped them. For now, all you need to know is this:

** You are smart enough to succeed right now.
** You will have to work hard and be willing to put in a number of years.
** Your success will depend in large part on your ability to form relationships.

Intent is everything. Believing that you can succeed will make it happen. Strengthen your resolve with the use of a talisman. Incredible things will come to you!

Three Secrets of Lucky People

Do you consider yourself a lucky person? If the answer is no, would you like to know how you can become a lucky person? There are three essential secrets about lucky people.

First, lucky people know that there is a force in their lives that will bring them good fortune even if there are temporary downturns. They are willing to ride out the bad things that sometimes happen, knowing that things will change for the better. They don't give up. They realize that there is a good side for everything that happens.

Second, lucky people exhibit this positive attitude in all the interactions with other people. This leads them to have a large number of contacts, which in turn brings them a lot of opportunities.

Third, lucky people are willing to take risks and try new things, even if they are full of fear. It is rational to be afraid to take a risk because there is always possibility for failure. Lucky people are willing to live with this fear, and to take reasonable risks. They are able to recognize the opportunities that come to them, and are quick to act on them. Lucky people are willing to commit to action!

Now that you know these three secrets, would you say you are a lucky person? If you still say no, there are some things you can do to change this. During my years as a psychotherapist, I have found two main ways that people can change; either by changing their thinking, or by changing their behavior patterns. Both work. Which one is best? Depends on the person. Actually, the two methods have to work together. Change the way you act and your mind will actually change its patterns, provided you keep up the behavioral changes. Change your thinking in a way that is long term and persistent and your ways of acting will change, to automatically keep up with your new ways of thinking.

Which approach is best for you? Actually, you can help change yourself in both ways by using the power of a talisman and meditating with it every day, or as often as is practical for you. The more you use it, the sooner change will happen. One of the most important ways you have to become lucky is to absolutely, positively make a commitment to changing your life.

Universal Symbol of Good Luck

The last time I visited my old friend, Professor Kelly of the University of Northern California, I asked him to tell me how the universal symbol of good luck, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, came to be. He scratched his scraggly beard and asked why I wanted to know. I told him that I was doing research on good luck and a wonderful example was that very symbol.

This must have been an acceptable answer, because the professor did indeed tell me how this good luck sign came about. It seems that the idea that a pot of gold can be found at the rainbow's end originated somewhere in old Europe. In Silesia, an obscure area of Eastern Europe, it was said that the angels put the gold there and that only a nude man could obtain the prize. Doesn't sound too likely to me, but that's what Dr. Kelly told me.

It turns out that the legends of many cultures describe the rainbow as a kind of bridge between heaven and earth. One of the most beautiful sights in nature, the rainbow has become a symbol of renewed hope; something lucky to look upon. The Arawak Indians of South America recognize the rainbow as a fortunate sign if seen over the ocean, while tribes in northeastern Siberia see it as the tongue of the sun. The North American Catawba Indians of the Southeast and the Tlingit of the Northwest both regard rainbows as the bridge between the living and the dead.

There are many Irish fables about the rainbow and the pot of gold at its end. Dr. Kelly went on to tell me about this fable: a leprechaun granted one wish to a couple who was very poor and had little. They asked for riches of gold and silver. The leprechaun was angry that the couple would be so selfish. So he gave them a hint, and told them he put their riches in a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. As the story goes, the couple is still looking for the end of the rainbow to this day.

In our culture, and in many cultures throughout the world, the rainbow and its pot of gold are powerful symbols of luck. That's why the Gold Magick good luck charm carries this image, and is one of the reasons that it is so powerful.
